The Executive Board (E-Board) is the chief financial body of the Rensselaer Union and is the mechanism by which students directly manage business operations. The E-Board, chaired by the President of the Union (PU), assembles and manages an annual budget of over $8.9 million, supervises clubs, and determines operating policies for Rensselaer Union facilities themselves. The E-Board manages with the close cooperation of many people within the Union Administration Office, Mueller Center, Athletics Department, and other related support organizations across campus.
The E-Board goes through club and Rensselaer Union budget proposals each winter; approving and disapproving them according to the Rensselaer Union Budget Policies and Guidelines. The decisions made by this body shape the Activity Fees for the following year, which are paid by undergraduate and graduate students to make possible the varied activities supporting student life and club development through the Rensselaer Union. During other times of the year, the E-Board meets weekly to hear requests and proposals for additional fund allocations and policies impacting students at Rensselear.
