Students attend ACUI Conference in Hartford, CT
Students from the Union Executive Board and the Student Senate attended the Association for College Unions International Region VIII Conference at the University of Hartford this past weekend. This conference emphasizes the advancement of campus community through Student Unions. Educational sessions were attended on topics such as leadership, finding your place, facilities management, marketing, career development, supervision, student employment and more. Over 200 elegates from the Northeast, UK, and Ireland attended as well. Students were able to hear from accomplished Architect Zena Howard, most notably known for her work on the African American History Museum. Her keynote emphasized building spaces for your community with purpose and intention to reflect who they were made to represent.
