Organizations, Facilities & Services
The Rensselaer Union has been driving campus engagement and student activities at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) since 1890. As laid out in the Rensselaer Union Constitution, the purpose of this organization is to unite members in a commitment to the ideals for which Rensselaer stands, expand extracurricular life, coordinate student organizations, act as a medium through which student opinion may be expressed, and work with all other members of the Rensselaer community to encourage student initiatives and lead student action.
Funded primarily by student activity fees, the Rensselaer Union sponsors student clubs, student activities, club athletics and intramural sports, facilities, and services available to RPI students. Rensselaer Union is comprised of governing bodies, including the Student Senate, Rensselaer Union Executive Board, Judicial Board, Graduate Council, and Undergraduate Council.
