RPI Flying Club

We are a community of pilots, planespotters, and aviation enthusiasts at RPI, open to all students—regardless of your major. What We Offer: • Annual Ground School: Prepares you for the FAA Private Pilot Written Exam with essential knowledge. No prior experience or flight hours required. • Weekly Meetings: Discuss the latest in aviation, share flying stories, meet fellow student pilots, and hear from guest speakers like airline pilots and CFIs. • Aviation Trips: Explore museums, attend air shows, go planespotting, and tour flight schools and hangars. These trips typically happen on weekends. • Social Nights: Relax with game and movie nights, complete with food, snacks, and drinks.
